B.A.R.F. or meat-only menus typically include ingredients like one or two types of meat, meaty bones, organs, fruits, and vegetables, depending on what your pet needs.

Let's not forget that dogs are descendants of wolves and therefore are predominantly carnivores. B.A.R.F. menus are a raw diet, composed of the foods that your pet can best digest and assimilate. More and more veterinary clinics are advising feeding with raw foods instead of kibble or dry food as they do not contain any preservatives.
Our diet mainly consists of meat, with about 80 percent being of animal origin in its natural proportion (meat, bones, organs, cartilage...) and the rest being vegetables and, to a lesser extent, fruit.

Regardless of breed, the absorption capacity of raw foods is greater due to the hydration and quality of the components that have not been altered by the drastic temperature changes that occur in the extrusion process of kibble or dry food, allowing the digestive system to digest them without having to rehydrate them once ingested.
Better absorption results in improvements in our animals' joints, digestive system, coat that can be appreciated after 3 weeks of BARF feeding, and regular, odorless stools, a sign of proper digestion.
*Is raw meat safe for dogs' health?*
Meat as raw food can contain parasites or certain diseases that require thermal or chemical treatment.
To avoid adding chemicals, one of the best options is freezing for 3 weeks (at a household freezer temperature) which ensures that parasites and viruses die without causing a significant loss in the food's properties and allowing them to remain raw so that our animals can optimally utilize the elements of the BARF menu.
When we freeze food, we affect its quality, but to a lesser extent than cooking and an almost insignificant loss of quality compared to the extrusion of kibble, where the loss of enzymes or any "live" nutrient is incinerated by the extremely high temperatures.
The vegetables we use are steamed since animals in the wild eat these from their prey that have already been pre-cooked by gastrointestinal juices.
*TRANSITIONING FROM A DRY DIET TO A NATURAL (RAW) DIET*
It is recommended to move the frozen food from the freezer to the fridge to better preserve the food and administer it without risking breaking the cold chain.
You should never mix kibble and BARF food in your pets' stomachs; wait about 9-12 hours to prevent intestinal obstructions.
Nor should the BARF diet be administered completely frozen; in the case of puppies, wait until it is at room temperature.
The label on our products provides very important information on how much food to administer to our puppies, although the most important thing is regular monitoring and the guidance of the veterinarian to know your pet's ideal weight and find the exact amount since each dog has a different metabolism and lifestyle, and the quantities we offer are mostly indicative.
